By far my favorite part of Budapest was discovering this wonderful statue. Steps from the Chain Bridge, “The Girl from Buda” lived. This was a traveling pop-up feature that I had the pleasure and luck to see! I was enraptured by this display. I don’t know what it was that drew me in, but I found myself in awe of this majestic beauty.

Captivated by her size and strength, years later I am reminded of the first feelings I had when I saw her. To this day, I have this exact picture framed, hanging above my bed as a reminder that women can do anything; that I am strong. I am woman, hear me roar.
