I flew into Charles De Gaulle airport (CDG) and quickly navigated the metro, finding my hotel in no time. I was even able to check in a few hours early! After a quick shower, I knew exactly where I wanted to go first… La Tour Eiffel! As I made my way closer and closer, I became giddy with excitement. A few turns later, and there she was!

I strolled along the Champ de Mars, keeping my eyes on the prize and getting closer. Soon enough, I was right there!

Realizing that I hadn’t eaten in awhile, I stopped to grab some fruit and had my first Parisian picnic of the trip while sitting along the Seine.

I finished the day by doing some grocery shopping, being sure to pick up bread, cheese, and wine. I made myself a jambon-beurre (ham and butter sandwich) and poured myself a nice glass of rosé before turning in early.
