To this day I STILL have not been inside the Louvre. I have explored the exterior of the Louvre but never inside. Maybe my next trip to Paris will change that.
I checked out the iconic Louvre Pyramid designed by architect I. M. Pei as I meandered through the main courtyard while I marveled at the massive amount of glass panes making up the triangle structure.

Prior to arriving at the Louvre, I spied an Eric Kayser kiosk. Unfortunately they were out of ice cream, but had plenty of other goodies. Settling on a financier framboise and a cold bottle of water, I was off to find shade in the shadows of the Pyramid. Happily, I chowed down on my treat whilst people watching the large amounts of individuals attempting to visit the museum. I wonder how many arrived happy to visit the Louvre only to find it closed since it was Tuesday.

Satiated and ready for some more ‘splorin, I was off. I headed to Jardin de Luxembourg to visit the Medici Fountain. Vache sacrée! (holy cow!) Tres jolie and very peaceful, despite the crowds of people. I managed to find a spot to sit and ended up finishing my book. One quick stop at the State of Liberty (hey girl!) and I was headed back to the hotel to rest and relax before my Eiffel Tower evening.
